- Skills Assessment: Candidates may be asked to complete technical assessments to verify claimed skills
- Reference Checks: We may contact references to verify work history and qualifications for selected candidates
Company Verification
- Business Registration: We verify company registration and legal status
- VC Backing Verification: We verify claims about investor backing and funding rounds
- Job Posting Review: All job postings are reviewed to ensure they are legitimate, accurate, and comply with employment laws
- Salary Verification: We require salary-backed offers during Match Day to prevent bait-and-switch tactics
- Company Reputation Check: We monitor company reviews and candidate feedback to identify problematic patterns
Red Flags to Watch For
For Candidates:
- Companies asking for payment or upfront fees
- Job postings with unrealistic salary promises or "get rich quick" language
- Requests for personal financial information (SSN, bank details) before an offer
- Companies refusing to provide clear job descriptions or answer questions
- Pressure to make quick decisions without time to consider
- Requests to interview via unusual platforms or unsecured channels
- Job descriptions that don't match the company's stated business
For Companies:
- Candidates with inconsistent work history or gaps that don't make sense
- Profiles that seem too good to be true (e.g., unrealistic skills or experience)
- Refusal to provide references or work samples
- Candidates asking for payment or unusual financial arrangements
- LinkedIn profiles that don't match the provided resume
- Inability to verify claimed credentials or certifications
- Communication that feels scripted or automated
